Obituary for Albert A. Levitt

Albert A. Levitt, 88, a son of Long Branch, passed away Thursday, November 9th at home. He was surrounded by family and friends.

Born in Newport News, VA, Albert moved to Long Branch when he was 3 years old. Albert, his brother and two sisters were raised by their mother.

Albert was a proud graduate of Long Branch High School, graduated Monmouth College and was a Contracting Officer at Fort Monmouth. Albert’s proudest career moment was his association with the FIRE FINDER Radar System. He was a long-time volunteer supporting the Center for Holocaust, Human Rights & Genocide Education, (chhange), Monmouth Medical Center and taught Hebrew school for many years at Congregation Beth El and Congregation B’nai Israel.

Nothing brought Albert more joy than spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Adrian, his children Sandy and her husband Paul, Jay and his wife Sarah, Batya and her husband Aaron, Etana and her husband David; grandchildren Chase, Winnie, Will, Sasha, Ruthie, Jonah, Charlotte, Oliver, Harry, Eames and a granddaughter expected shortly.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 10th 10:00 am at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Burial to follow in Congregation B’nai Israel Cemetery, Tinton Falls.
