Obituary for Evelyn Hennum

Evelyn L. Hennum of Long Branch, died on March 30th, at Bayshore Care Center, Holmdel.

Mrs. Hennum was born and raised in New York City and had lived in Long Branch since 1946. She was a graduate of Hunter College. Evelyn was in the U.S.O. where she met her husband William Hennum.

She was a devoted parishioner of St. Michael's R C Church, Long Branch. She was a volunteer for Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital. She was the past president of the Long Branch chapter.

Evelyn enjoyed square dancing, ballroom dancing and line dancing. She traveled the world extensively.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, William Hennum, her son, Robert Hennum, 2002 and her daughter Janet Griffith, 1986.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Carol Carlson, William T. Hennum, James M. Hennum and Richard D. Hennum; Evelyn's grandchildren, Stephanie, Jimmy, Caine, Joseph, Sara, Billy, Taylor and Nicole; and Evelyn's great-grandchildren, Grace, Ariana, Hudson, and Allie.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 19th, 10 am till 12:15 pm, at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 1 pm, at St. Michael's RC Church, Long Branch. Interment Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.
