Obituary for Irving Bohm

Irving Bohm (“Uncle Ottie”), a resident of Seabrook Village in Tinton Falls, passed away Tuesday, May 29th.

He was born in 1924 in Philadelphia, the son of Sarah and Morris Bohm. He was predeceased by his sisters Esther Deitelbaum, Nettie Salaman, Mildred Rubin and his brother Philip Bohm. He is survived by his loving sister Ruth Berman of Beverly Hills, CA. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. His family, lifelong friends and his friends at Seabrook will miss him for his brilliance, his wit, his lust for knowledge, his kindness and his concern for all people.

He served in the Army during World War II and fought at Normandy on D- Day. He attended Temple University and worked for over 50 years for the Pollin family at The Girard Check Exchange. He moved to Seabrook Village almost twenty years ago. He made many new friends and was an active member of their Jewish community. He was also a member of Congregation Torat El in Oakhurst.

His funeral service will be Thursday at 10 AM at Congregation Torat El, 301 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, NJ and internment will take place at Montefiore Cemetery in Philadelphia, PA.
