Obituary for Marguerite "Peggy" Chirumbolo

Marguerite "Peggy" Chirumbolo, 87 of West Long Branch, passed peacefully in her sleep on Saturday March 4th at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.

Mrs. Chirumbolo was born in Staten Island and had lived in South Plainfield for many years before moving to West Long Branch to live with her son and daughter-in-law. She waitressed for many years at Jacque's Restaurant, South Plainfield. After her husband passed away, Mrs. Chirumbolo became a Physical Therapy Aide at JFK Hartwyck in Edison and later volunteered at The Schroth School and Ladacin Network, Ocean Twp. well into her 80’s. Mrs. Chirumbolo was a parishioner of St. Michael's RC Church, Long Branch.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Victor in 1987 and two sons, Robert who died in 2011 and Ronald who died in 2007.

Surviving are her children, Christine and Richard Wantuck, Richard and Rachel Chirumbolo, Catherine and David Hoos, Carolyn and Charles Blackford, Roderick and Judy Chirumbolo, Randall and Heather Chirumbolo; daughters-in-law, Patricia Chirumbolo and Vanessa Chirumbolo; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Visitation Wednesday, March 8th 5 to 8 pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, March 9th at 10:30 am at St. Michael's RC Church, Long Branch. Interment will follow at New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Chirumbolo may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
