Obituary for Saul Dejesus Piedrahita

Saul Dejesus Piedrahita 76, Long Branch passed away at Monmouth Medical Center Tuesday August 15th.

Saul was born in Antioquia, Colombia. He moved to New Jersey in 1991 and became a proud U.S. Citizen in 2006.

Saul worked for over 20 years at Monmouth Park Racetrack. Saul loved the beach, especially Pier Village in Long Branch, where he would run four miles a day. He also loved dancing, especially the Salsa. Known by his family as friends as “El Tigre” he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather with his smile.

He is predeceased by his parents, Samuel Piedrahita and Evergista Caro; and five siblings.
Surviving is his wife, Luzma Piedrahita, Long Branch; his daughters, Liliana Figueredo and her husband Melquiades, Venezuela, Janeth Schur, Long Branch, and Alexandra Piedrahita and her husband Martin Arias, Tinton Falls; her beloved aunts; Rosa Maria & Dora Caro, Colombia and his siblings, Nohelia, Gonzalo, Hugo, Cesar, and Dora Piedrahita; his grandchildren, Saul, Gabriel, and David; his great-grandchildren, Eduardo and Victoria.

Visitation Thursday August 17th from 7pm- 9pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home,
