Obituary for Thomas J. Bain

Thomas J. Bain, 89, Ocean Township passed away Friday June 2nd at home.

Mr. Bain was born in Columbus, OH. He served his country honorably during the Korean Conflict as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Mr. Bain graduated from The Ohio State University with a BS in mathematics and received his Master’s degree from Montclair State College. Retiring in 1985, Mr. Bain was a math teacher, track coach and football coach at Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Reformation, West Long Branch where he sang in their choir for many years.

Mr. Bain was pre-deceased by his wife, Marilyn, in 2003. Surviving are his son & daughter-in-law Thomas J. & Colleen Bain, Hillsborough; his daughter & son-in-law Nancy B. & Thomas Ehlert, Wall and five grandchildren: Colin, Heather, Bryan, Shannon and Sean.

Visitation Tuesday, June 6th 6:00 – 9:00 pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Funeral service Wednesday, June 7th 11:30 am at the Lutheran Church of the Reformation, 992 Broadway, West Long Branch. Burial Glenwood Cemetery, West Long Branch.
