Obituary for Leota Santiago

Leota Santiago, 60, of Long Branch, NJ passed away on Wednesday, December 20th, 2017.

Born on December 25, 1956, in Somerset, NJ, she was the daughter of Harry Sheldon and Alice Jane Burroughs.

Leota was a faithful member of Old First Methodist Church of W. Long Branch for over 30 years. She loved gardening and reading and she was a passionate crocheter. Her favorite pastime was caring for her grandchildren. She was known endearingly as “the Mom”. Leota was a kind soul who brought joy to all the lives she touched.

Leota was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Julio Santiago Jr and his children Vanessa, Odessa, and David; their daughters, Rebecca, Alicia, Erikica, and Dora and respective partners, Derek Garza, Rene Reyes, Kenneth Banach Jr, and Adam Huff; her grandchildren, Jordan, Angelina, Aiden, Emma, Landon, and Adrian; and four siblings.
